Blue penguins are the smallest of all penguins so that makes them even cuter for a start! Smallest and with 5 of the subspecies endemic to New Zealand. Like the yellow-eyed penguin , they use scattered nesting sites instead of nesting colonies. Their nest are usually located in ready made cavities or burrows. They are our most familiar penguin and are commonly seen around rocky coastlines.
